Along with the public’s fear and anxiety about being vaccinated, GMA Artist Center launched the #FlexMoNa online awareness campaign on Friday, August 20, to emphasize the significance of receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.
GMA Artist Center talents use the hashtag #FlexMoNa to generate a bandwagon effect among the public by sharing pictures and stories from their vaccination journey. This approach will serve as stepping stones in preventing the spread of the virus and encouraging the fans, ideally everybody, to get vaccinated.

Barbie Forteza, one of the Kapuso stars engaged in #FlexMoNa, shares her story on why she got vaccinated. “…Para sa kaligtasan ng aking sarili, kaligtasan ng aking pamilya at ng aking mga kasama sa bahay, nagpabakuna ako para sa kaligtasan ng ating bayan.” Joining her with the #FlexMoNa online campaign are the following: Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards, Asia’s Limitless Star Julie Anne San Jose, Sanya Lopez, Bianca Umali, Ken Chan, Gabbi Garcia, Khalil Ramos, Jak Roberto, and many more.
Simoun Ferrer, Assistant Vice President for Talent Imaging and Marketing at the GMA Artist Center, hopes to help individuals who are still afraid to receive the vaccine. “There is still a majority of Filipinos who are unwilling or hesitant to get the COVID-19 vaccines for various reasons, like fear of side effects, waiting for their preferred brands, or some are intimidated by the whole process. With the emergence of new and more contagious COVID-19 variants, vaccination, aside from practicing safety protocols like wearing masks and social distancing, will help us reach herd immunity and prevent further spread of the disease.”
With the number of active cases rising every day and the appearance of more contagious and deadly COVID-19 variants, the #FlexMoNa online campaign aims to reduce vaccination fear and anxiety.
