Quarantined Filipino Photographer Sets "New Normal" And Hosts Photoshoots via FaceTime

Strict quarantine restrictions are forcing the fashion industry to redirect and pivot strategies to avoid permanent damages. It has been like that for the industry in the past three months and the future of fashion still seems to be uncertain at this point. For fashion photographers who work a lot with different fashion brands, this season has definitely put a lot on hold. Filipino photographer Charles Rodulfo, also known as CharlieShotMe, is a witness to that.

Learn to build up your skills.

He recently shared tips with STAIL.PH on how to be creative during the quarantine. One of those is to learn to build up your skills while staying at home. Moreover, he proves that fashion portraits can be produced even though he’s not physically present with the models or hair and makeup artists.
Recently, he pulled off a magazine cover shoot with STAIL.PH and Andrea Brillantes with just limited resources and tools. Charlie photographed and directed Andrea via FaceTime and just by using an iMac and iPhone XR. Separated by over 60 miles, this Filipino photographer proves that the distance is indeed a challenge but doesn’t stop you from capturing and creating art. In fact, he’s done FaceTime shoots with models here in the Philippines and even from abroad!
